As all surfers know, waves are created by wind blowing across the ocean surface, forming ripples then rough seas. Far from the storm they become orderly swells and may travel thousands of miles before breaking in shallow water. Big waves are an awesome sight and offer excellent footage to convey power, energy and explosive force.
