Wildfires are most severe during drought and strong winds. Helicopters and water bombers douse areas that are inaccessible to ground firefighters. Adventure Imagery camera crews were on location for this massive tire fire that was started by a lightning strike at a tire dump in Westley, California, where it burned for 30 days in 1999.
